Welcome to the new Velolove Portal!!

Velolove is a budding community portal for BC bikers & friends.

Share your knowledge and experience and the bike revolution shall succeed. Tell us what you like, don't like, & want. This is your site, so go ahead & tinker. Here's what we've got for you...

Web Forums
The web forums are online and running. Every discussion there is its own webpage, making a public archive for ourselves, for search engines, and for the next wave of BC bikers. Come join the Vancouver bike forums now.

Mailing Lists
This website grew out of the Velolove mailing lists. Make sure you're on the announcement list to get notified of important bike news, and there's also an open discussion email list.

Events & Rides
Take a look at the calender of events on the right side of the page for some upcoming fun and/or games. Want to get more publicity for your crazy bike event? Create an account and add the date to the calendar.

Links, Links, Links
Take a look at the left sidebar for links to a bunch of other great Vancouver cycling websites. Together we can rule the internets!

The content here depends on those who make it, so let's get rolling.

The bike scene in Vancouver has grown wings. Glass high to everyone who has put their hearts & teeth into making the city safer, more hospitable & more fun over the years. Our city's reputation precedes us and we continue to build Critical Mass in our province and region.

Coming soon: photo posting, prettier forums, and more style!

Don't forget humans.

You live on an oblate spheroid hurtling through the icy cold of space. Rejoice that your part of the planet doesn't suk toooo much and celebrate the new year cuz it will be International Year of Astronomy:

When you look up to the sky give thanks there isn't a sunroof blocking the sights above; go to the planetarium or just find a place devoid of streetlights.

May the fates be kind as you ride across the pitch black tarmac.....

After the troupe gets its fill of stargazing we continue cycling Westbound along the waterfront until we hit the first semi-secluded beach. At which point we "light er up" I will bring a Propane portable BBQ along with two fuel tanks. Other BBQ's are welcome.

This will be the second of such rides. One of my friends suggested I place an announcement in the velolove portal so here it goes.....

If you play with fire you are definately welcome cuz I sure like to....More on that later. Anyone is welcome. The folks that run the telescope are really nice and last time it was a tun o fun. Hope to see you there. If you need more info please don't hesitate to contact me. There is a facebook group called SPONTANEOUS HUMAN COMBUSTION BBQ.
